- Model moves from Dodge to Mercedes-Benz
For 2010, the Sprinter full-size van is now sold under the Mercedes-Benz brand. The company has always produced the Sprinter, but up until now it has been sold in Canada under the Dodge brand.
The Sprinter is available as a cargo van, passenger van and cab chassis, in standard, long and extra long lengths, standard or high-roof height, and three basic gross vehicle weight ratings, for a total of 15 basic models. All use a 3.0-litre V6 turbodiesel engine with five-speed automatic transmission.
The cargo van can be ordered with side windows and rear seats for six-passenger seating, while the passenger van seats up to 12 passengers.
Standard features on the passenger van include 16-inch steel wheels, air conditioning, power windows, keyless entry, CD stereo, wide-angle mirrors, tire pressure monitoring system, tilt steering wheel, wide-angle mirrors, and hill start assist.
Available options include heated seats, twin passenger seat, flip-up passenger seat, multifunction steering wheel, Parktronic parking assist, backup camera, bi-xenon headlamps, and rain-sensing wipers.
