2010 BMW X3

For 2010, the BMW X3 adds a new, entry-level model. Like the xDrive 30i, the new xDrive 28i uses a 3.0-litre six-cylinder engine, but with lower horsepower and torque than its more expensive sibling.
The xDrive 30i, previously the only model available, is upgraded with larger wheels, sunroof and BMW Assist. A new $4,000 Executive Package on the 30i adds Servotronic speed-sensitive steering, 18-inch Y-spoke alloy wheels, garage door opener, aluminum running boards, auto-dimming rearview mirror, poplar grey wood trim, Park Distance Control, xenon headlamps, Hi-Fi System Professional, and leather upholstery. The 28i can be upgraded with an Executive Package of heated steering wheel and panoramic sunroof for $1,100, or BMW Assist with Bluetooth for $850.
The X3 uses a 3.0-litre inline six-cylinder that makes 215 horsepower in the 28i, and 260 horsepower in the 30i. Both models use a six-speed automatic transmission, and feature xDrive all-wheel drive.
Features on the xDrive 28i include 17-inch alloy wheels, air conditioning, automatic headlights, adaptive brake lights, heated mirrors, rain-sensing wipers with heated washer jets, rear washer/wiper, tire pressure monitoring system, rollover sensor, active front head restraints, self-charging keyless entry remote, privacy glass, rear roof spoiler, ambiance lighting, cargo cover, three-spoke multifunction tilt and telescopic leather-wrapped steering wheel, six-way manually-adjustable heated “leatherette” seats, split-folding rear seat, and CD/MP3 stereo with six speakers.
The xDrive 30i adds 18-inch alloy wheels, automatic climate control, heated steering wheel, panoramic sunroof, eight-way power seats with driver’s side memory, eight speakers, BMW Assist, and Bluetooth connectivity.
